Friendly Manitoba

What a colorful license plate we now have!! Yeah! It's official now.
There are even holographic bison (3) in between the letters and numbers in the middle of the license plate. Very neat!
We came across the following today:

"YOU KNOW YOU'RE A TRUE MANITOBAN WHEN....."

1. You measure distance in hours.
2. You know several people who have hit a deer more than once.
3. You design your kid's Halloween costume to fit over a snowsuit.
4. Driving is better in winter because the potholes are filled with snow.
5. You know all 4 seasons: almost winter, winter, still winter and road construction.
6. Down South to you means Grand Forks, North Dakota.
7. Your Canada Day picnic was moved indoors due to frost.
8. You have more miles on your snow blower than your car.

Today was nice and frosty thismorning. We drove into Rennie (20 min. away) for Sunday School/small group. This is a small outreach to the community as there is no church there. There were 4 of us from camp and 4 from Rennie. It was decided to watch and discuss the NOOMA videos. This was the first Sunday a.m. that we've been able to attend and it was very enjoyable. It was held at one couples home, also known as the Firefly B&B. So if you are ever in the area and want a cosy place to stay (other than here at camp), we would highly recommend the Firefly.
Then thisafteroon a group of people arrived to hang out and eat supper. It was a great day for Chili & buns!
The next group comes in tomorrow morning, so we'll be keeping busy all week.
