"Hey honey, we've got company..."
"what??"
(recognisable laughter coming from the front door area)
"No way!!"(Sonya hesitantly approaching)
"Is that......JERRY...JERRY KUSS....It is! IT IS!! Oh my Gosh!"
(Sonya now jumping up and down, bursting into tears and hugging Jerry!)
"I can't believe you are here!"
"Are you homesick?" (insert recognisable laughter)
"No...but I am church sick"
Yes, this was the highlight of our day, and the tonic our spirits needed. We had absolutely no idea he was coming....and to have someone from Ontario, from our home church...visit us this soon was so encouraging...AND he brought Tim Horton's donuts and a tin of coffee!! Knowing that he cared enough to be thinking of us when he flew to Winnipeg for business, and then to drive the 2.5 hrs here to visit for one hour, and then have to drive back so he can fly home tomorrow, touched our hearts deeply!
Thanks Jerry and Thank you to our entire church family who love us and are praying for us.
Now when some of you at home talk to Jerry, you will understand that we really are living in an isolated area. There are alot of wildlife around this time of year too. Just be careful he doesn't stretch the story too much. LOL
Sonya has enjoyed this quiet week of doing inventory and meal planning. This Sunday the camp is hosting "Rennie Day". This is where we invite the community of Rennie, pop: 120 or so, to come to camp and enjoy the facility free of charge and we provide a supper for them. Usually there are about 40-60 who come so we are praying for nice weather. We have 2 groups coming next week. One small (25) and one bigger (75).
The guys on staff worked really hard today to be ready for the concrete truck in the morning. David will be giving some oversight to all the happenings of this event. It's been a huge push on to be ready so come Sunday everyone will look forward to resting!

So, did you get your documents etc??? We believe that miracles do happen - We have had to do the E-test for our gems that live in the driveway. Thinking & praying for you - Love Dave & Susan
