Ummm...yes....29 cm of the solid white stuff. SNOW...very heavy, crunchy snow!...and did we mention ALOT of it? LOL!
We are somewhat shaking our heads because it has all arrived in less that 24 hours. Many of us staff here are trying to be in complete denial and refusing to pull out the gloves and scarves again. However when David came in to the dining hall at lunch today he looked like a snowman. His snowsuit was completely covered white and the snow and icicles on his beard, moustache and eyebrows were very thick. Not exactly the kind of day to be working outside. In fact David was very tired tonight after all the clomping through such heavy snowfall and going up and down the hill to the cabin project.
We have a small group here this weekend and certainly the weather has put a curve in some of their planned activities but board games always seem to be a favourite around here.
We found out some neat news today. Sonya's cousin's son, Josh is coming out to work here this summer. He is going to be joining the Spring staff in the maintenance department so he'll get to hang around David too. He is flying in on Monday afternoon. This is a huge step for him to also be away from family for 4 months and he is really trusting God to provide his finances for school when he returns in the Fall. Summer camp work doesn't necessarily pay all the bills but the eternal rewards are indescribable and the memories are forever. So if you think of it please be praying for Him.
We'll keep you updated on white stuff in the days to come.
