May flowers ?

Welcome to the first weekend of May, with just a hint of snow in the air. The ice on the lake is mostly gone now , thanks to a brisk wind yesterday.
We had a family group in for the weekend, 54 people. They used 4 of the renovated cabins. The cabins were not completely done but good enough to be occupied. Last weeks' blast of snow held us back but with the help of our Spring staff, 8 young willing workers, we got lots of set up and cleaning done. The cabin project continues to progress. Plumbing is done and working, new transformers are to be installed this coming week so the electrical can be changed over and the cabins have been cleaned. There are many, many weeks of outside work to be done and David's last 2 crew members will be leaving soon.
Sonya's kitchen staff have taken on a new dynamic. The 2 Spring staff both have had experience in the kitchen and things are running really smooth. It is such a blessing. Only 21 more groups untill the end of June and then it's on to weekly summer camp. Whew!
