Another year has come and gone and both of us have passed the hurdle of another birthday. It was abit different celebrating away from family and friends, but thanks to all of you who phoned or sent greetings. It brought a smile to our faces and warmth to our hearts.
Speaking of which.....warmth is good! It has been getting colder here and even just in one night the lake froze over, and then thawed again the next day. We are noticing the chill is increasing in the morning air and we are excited to see the beauty of the winter.
Endurance is our word of the week. With the colder weather, the days seem longer and the cabin project tasks keep increasing as the pressure is on to get to certain points of accomplishment, before the snow flies!! Endurance will also come into play over the next week for Sonya too as she has the joys of cleaning all the pantry, freezers and walk in fridge and doing a fall inventory. So the tasks continue on.
We are still not using the word "settled" when describing our life in the duplex but our goal is to have everything in place for our annual Christmas brunch...second Sat. in Dec from 8:30am -12:30pm...just incase anyone wants to drop in!
