Let the Games Begin

Here we are , smack dab in the middle of work, work, work. We have our summer staff here and now there are 3 groups per week until the summer camper season. Days off are a challenge to take but we are trying hard to keep ourselves rested. Sonya has 3 staff with her now and her new head cook will be starting in about a week. Finally there will be some relief to the constant food preparations and washings dishes, and a chance to catch up on some long overdue paperwork. The cabins are now being used but David continues to work on the outsides of them, siding, railings, stairs and some insulating underneath.
The days are getting warmer and some of the groups have even been in the lake. We think we will wait abit longer for the thermometer to rise hotter before we take a dip. The warmer weather also brings out the wildlife. Plenty of deer everywhere, prairie chickens are constantly crossing the road, and you can hear a variety of birds everyday. Tonight we went for a brief walk and even heard a family of raccoons chatting up a storm.
We are enjoying having our cousin Josh working here. He is a breath of fresh air and brings alot of encouragement our way. We do miss our family and friends and think of you all often.
