Like a Kid

Yes, that's right...like a kid on Christmas morning.
That's how I would describe David and his excitement about his golf trip. The clubs have been sitting in the living room for almost a week, and he's been sneaking a few swings in here and there. Wednesday night he packed everything, and you could see the twinkle in his eye as he put a few packages of new golfballs in the bag. One of the younger staff members here has a "Wii" game that has golf on it, so David has played a few rounds on it. It's quite funny as I never quite pictured David as a gamer kind of guy. He is definately ready for the break from camp life and will be glad to reconnect with some friends. This group of men go every year to North Carolina and have lots of fun.
Things here at camp with the cabin project are in major full swing. There are alot of things that have to still come together so everything will be ready for the beginning of May.
The month of April has a different feel to it as there are very few groups so I, Sonya actually can take a few days off. Currently red rock is looking to fill the position of Head Cook, but in the meantime I have a young girl here for the next 6 wks who has been the head cook in the past so she is a blessing in terms of helping me be prepared for the wild times of May and the absolute insanity of summer.
We both are definately being stretched more and more each day. It is a constant for us to keep our focus on why we came here, that is to serve God.
Keep David's health in your prayers over the next few weeks. He will be going to see a specialist in Winnipeg on May 5th and we are praying that that will help us move towards more answers.
