Well, there goes another month.
March has shown us the change of the seasons with all the expectations of warm Spring weather. We have had very cold days, wet snow, rain, warm sunshine and melting snow- all in a matter of a few weeks. Now we are in between seasons and Sonya gets a break from groups for 3 weeks. David still is busy with the cabin project. Insulation is in, drywall is on and the taper is busy coating walls. The crew is working on the rest of the bracing under the cabins and getting ready for siding. For 2 days this week we have 18 Grade 9 students here doing clean-up for us. Some are helping in the kitchen, some with program equipment and some are cleaning up the garbage left from the construction. They are all doing a tremendous job {oh, to be young and fit again}...too late!!!!
David is eagerly awaiting the 11th of April. This is when he leaves for North Carolina for a week of golf with his brother Doug and several others. A bad day on the golf course is much better than the best day at work.(LOL) David has had more blood work done and his hemoglobin count is going up but is not back to normal yet. The doctor will refer him to an internal specialist in a month or so to try to get to the bottom of this mystery.
We had a great Easter weekend with Sonya's sister and our nieces and nephew and we had a surprise visit from our trucker friend Dan from Ontario, who was on his way to Winnipeg. So Easter morning had a different flare this year but the chocolate was as good as ever.
Today is the first day of the ball season for the Blue Jays, wouldn't you know it, it was postponed due to rain. Now, maybe we'll get to watch it tomorrow night. GO JAYS !!!
