Yes, it's Sunday...and atlast the day we have been waiting for since our arrival in Manitoba. A day of rest....no groups, no working, no boxes to unpack...well there still are a few but we are chosing to ignore them. Our new home, in the duplex, is coming together and starting to feel like "home". We've put up the outdoor Christmas lights and even put up a few indoor decorations as well.
The snow has been gently falling here for the last 2-3 days, probably 5-6cm in total...so far , but it's really quite beautiful. The sun was shining this afternoon and we went for a brief walk and took a few pictures.
Tommorow night is the camp staff/board Christmas party in Steinbach. So we will venture out in the afternoon so that we can arrive early to run a few errands. Probably stop at the "real Canadian Superstore" and the local scrapbook store...LOL..priorities you know! Then we will enjoy a fun evening and a great Christmas dinner. (Which Sonya has NOT had to be involved in planning or cooking...she's very excited about that.)
Work on the cabin renovation project will continue this coming week. A few of the cabins need to be lifted in order to be prepared for putting in plumbing and electrical. The first cabin has presented the most "learning opportunities" also know as challenges but with the wisdom God gives us we are figuring things out.
We keep thinking of family and friends...almost everyday many of you are being remember in our prayers.
p.s. Extra hugs to our neices and nephews and godchildren
