We all learned the three R's...used to be reading, writing, and arithmetic, then it became reduce, reuse, and recycle.
Today we learned the three C's.
Crispy, Crunchy and COLD!
After delighting in the -4 temperatures we've had, we awoke thismorning to -23 degrees with windchill -28. Yes, it was cold! Kindof funny though...it still was a beautiful day with the bright sunshine. No blowing storm or sleet rain. Without the strong wind it is tolerable....you just have to keep moving...and dress warm. At this point we are not looking for style points or approval from the "What not to wear" TV show. You just bundle up and become a true Canadian wearing a toque.
Other than the weather update, things remain much the same here.
Today we called the Manitoba Health Insurance office and got a real person on the phone right away. She was pleasant and quick with a response. (We were wondering about our heath cards)She clearly told us which day they were processed, and which day they went in the mail, and then kindly welcomed us to the province. Wow...it's funny how small things like customer service even impresses us. We are happy to be here Manitoba.
