Silly boy, you thought that you could change provinces, get all your forms and cards, insurances and licences changed over without a hassle? Ha Ha Ha...not!!
We have made two trips to Steinbach and still haven't got anything changed yet. We were told that to get MB insurance we needed two pieces of photo I D with our new address on them. To obtain the I D 's , we need to prove that we live in MB at our new address. We have opened a bank account and have some mail with our new address.
Then we were informed that the car needs a safety check. Today it failed.
Now we have to spend a lot of money to get the car to the point that we can put insurance on it. That means another day, another trip, another lost day of work with no guarantee we will be any closer to becoming citizens of this great province. All of this has to happen before this Friday when our Ontario insurance runs out.
Do I really need a licence and insurance? I suppose so.

Oh boy.... I thought once in Canada, once a Canadian, everything would work out fine.... but this doesn't sound that good! Hope everything works out ok for you! I didn't realize you already moved to Manitoba!!
