Road Trip!

As planned today we headed into Steinbach for a day of running errands. It was a beautifully bright sunny morning so the drive was quite pleasant.
When we arrived we headed to Cathy's house for coffee. (She is a friend whom Sonya met online at the scrapbooking site... www.scraphoria.ca) Then it was off to begin the wonderful world of paperwork as we needed to get all our personal info turned over to Manitoba residency. We met this great girl, Candice at the local Credit Union who was lots of help and gave us some great info. She even brought us up to date on our favorite fall TV programs that we have been missing since arriving out here. Now that's what we call customer service...LOL! We then went to the local mall to meet up with another staff member and try to get our licenses changed and new plates and insurance. Things didn't go as smoothly there and it will require another trip into the city soon to get all the documents completed.
After that we were ready to eat so we went out to a Smittys restaurant. It was quite good and it was nice to have someone else prepare the food. After we were full, it was time to fill our gas tank....this is something we do on every trip...and then we went to Tim Horton's...for the second time today...and then headed home. We saw over 15 deer on the ride home, but thankfully none of them wandered out from the side of the road to greet us.
When we arrived back at the camp the girls were already set up in the dining hall for a fun night of scrapbooking, so Sonya quickly joined them.
Back to work tomorrow!
