At the end of our first day of work we are rejoicing and so happy!!
We truly know that we are exactly where God wants us to be! Both of us had a very long and full day, and we have such peace in our hearts, and can't wait for tomorrow!
The scenery here is just breathtaking. Even yesterday as we arrived into the Whiteshell Provincial Park we saw a total of 4 deer by the roadside and the Fall colours are starting on the trees. It shower rained here all afternoon but it was still quite a pleasant day.
The staff had a potluck welcome dinner for us tonight. So it was fun to sit together as "family" and get to know one another better. It's all a new exciting experience for us but it feels just right.

It was so great to see you last weekend (even if you think you did not look your best Sonya - you are the most beautiful soul I know :) I know we didn't get much chance to really catch up but I was sensitive to the fact that this was the last time you'd be seeing your family in a while so I didn't want to impose on that. Just saying hello and wishing you and David well was enough for me and made it worth the drive. You know, I attended service the first day your father preached in the Valley and I felt just as fortunate to hear and experience his first service in his new church. I've been out of touch with church and my sweet, supportive Christian music network of friends for the last little while, and I missed you all, but rest assured that never once did I turn my back on God. I continued praying day after day and He has richly blessed my life beyond belief! I have always known that God is good but one only need look at the sparkle in your eyes to actually see it. My only regret is that I missed your leaving and didn't get a chance to say 'goodbye' - but that's ok because it's not goodbye - it is - until we meet again! I wish you both many wonderful blessings and admire the courage and trust you have shown in following your heart and God's plan for you. My prayers are with you both.
Sally
